His designs have been published in Progressive Architecture, Architecture, LA Architect, The Los Angeles Times, The Los Angeles Times Magazine, Sunset and Southern California House and Garden and he has written articles on architecture for LA Architect and Design Cost & Data . His Parkos House was recently featured on the Venice homes tour of the Los Angeles AIA.

James F. McGlothlin is a licensed architect in the State of California and holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and has been a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects since 1980. He currently serves as a Master Commissioner for the California Board of Architectural Examiners and is a former Grading Commissioner for the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He has also served as a Planning Commissioner and Architectural Review Board member for the City of Agoura Hills and is a former Director of the League of California Cities Planners Institute.
